The company is planning to build a new production line of carbon fiber of 2,000 tons and a new processing line for products. The newly-built production line is mainly for the production of civil large-tow carbon fiber of bigger than 12K. It is a new carbon material with comprehensive excellent performance. It has the intrinsic character of the carbon material, and also has the electric conductivity and thermal conductivity of metal material, heat resistance and corrosion resistance of ceramic material, softness and knittability of staple fiber, and the lightness and processing superiority of polymeric material. As a strengthened material, carbon fiber can be combined with resin, metal, ceramic, rubber and cement to make new composite material with high performance, which has been extensively applied to many hi-tech fields, like wind power, electric transmission, construction, petroleum, communications, high-speed automobile, weaving machine, medical equipment, recreational and sports equipment and heat treatment.
